With proven and probable gold reserves standing at 4.7 million ounces as of December 31, 2011 (33 million tonnes grading 4.4 grams of gold per tonne), LaRonde has one of the largest gold reserves of any mine operating in Canada. Open pit and underground deposits of the Bousquet project are located just 3 kilometres west of the LaRonde mine, with a small probable reserve and substantial indicated and inferred resources.
